"I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong -- that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith." (Romans 1:11-12)
Paul's words to the Romans challenge us to remember that going on mission is much more than serving those less fortunate than ourselves. Mission is partnership with other Christians around the world. When we go on mission, we receive just as much as we give.
Is God calling you to be His instrument of encouragement and blessing on a short term mission trip? Join us and our mission partners at Master Provisions as we follow God's call to Tegucigalpa, Honduras from July 15-22, 2023.
On this trip, we will work with the mission agency His Eyes to minister to children and help with different projects as needed. Activities include:
attending a rural church,
a couple of work/construction days on a coffee farm or a rural church,
a day of clothing distribution and VBS activities,
and visiting a local hospital to pass out care packages.
This is a great opportunity for you to encourage the church in Honduras, and for you to learn from our brothers and sisters in another part of the world. When you go on a mission trip, God meets with you in unexpected ways and places.
This cost for this trip is estimated to be $1850 (which includes airfare), though prices may be variable. Our partners at Master Provisions will handle all the details, including pre-trip training and preparation, logistics, and providing a fundraising platform (if you need help raising money). Pastor Smith will be coordinating our group and will assist each participant with preparation and fundraising.
For more information, contact Pastor Smith via the church office. Sign up for the trip via the Master Provisions website.
UPDATE: We will have an information meeting about this mission trip on January 15 at 10:15 in the church chapel. If you want to find out more, be sure to attend this meeting!
