Inviting People to "Come And See"

ree

In the first chapter of John, the response "come and see" appears twice. First modeled by Jesus and then spoken by Philip. This powerful invitation is repeated in chapter 4 by the Samaritan woman.

We are called to be invitational Christians, empowering everyone to take their next step of faith with Jesus. To that end, we've set up an invitation center in the Entry Foyer, highlighting some of the ways Jesus is working in the life of this church that invite people to come and see. Please avail yourself of these invitations, and if you think of others you'd like to use, please let us know.

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked. “Come and see,” said Philip. - John 1:45-46
